Grade 1 & 2 Learning About Inuit Culture

Grade 1 & 2 Learning About Inuit Culture

Al Dumas came in to the school to speak to the Grade 1 and 2 students about life in an Inuit village. Mr. Dumas taught in Alaska, and brought back some wonderful items of Inuit culture that are currently on display in the public library. Students were able to see pictures, hold items like woven grass baskets and soapstone sculptures, and were given a demonstration with an Inuit yo-yo. Thank you Mr. Dumas for volunteering your time to share with the class.
